Laundry Room Makeover

When I showed up at this house, I went in to the laundry room and the first thing I noticed was the pile of running shoes filling the floor in the corner of the room--even keeping the door from closing all the way.  I looked at his wife, and she just shook her head in tender acknowledgement. Her husbands run marathons.  He has running shoes for every terrain, each daily ache, and whatever weather situation is rolling in that day.  Her greatest hope for this room was that His shoes wouldn't be crowding the room until the 2nd coming.  So I promised Her I would take care of it.  

Being a woman of my word, I kept this vision in the back of my mind while designing the new built-in cabinet storage and shelving for this space.  He needed his shoes easily accessible, orderly, and in a place that wouldn't get the rest of the room as dirty as his shoes!  So I added this angled shoe rack below the cabinets for the perfect answer to Her wish.  And He loves it too!
